Student Leadership

Student leadership is encouraged through various roles and responsiblities, allowing students to develop confidence, teamwork, and decision-making skills while positively contributing to the school community. ANPS provides leadership opportunities through roles such as School Captains, House Captains, Peer Leaders, the Buddy Program, and Student Council, empowering students to take initiative, support their peers, and contribute to school events and decision-making.

School and House Captains (Grade 6)

Our School Captains and House Captains play an essential role in representing the student body, leading school events, promoting team spirit, and fostering a sense of pride and responsibility within the ANPS community.

Peer Leaders

The Peer Leader program empowers older students to take on mentoring roles, supporting their younger peers through guidance, conflict resolution, and promoting positive behaviours, helping to create a supporting and inclusive school environment.

Buddy Program
Our Buddy Program pairs our senior students with younger students to help foster friendships, build confidence, and create a sense of community. Through regular activities such as reading together, playing games, or working on projects, buddies develop positive relationships with older students acting as role models and offering support to their younger peers. This porgram not only helps younger students feel more secure and connected at school but also encourages leadership, empathy, and responsibility in our senior students.

Student Council

The Student Council allows students from Grade 3 - 6 to actively participate in shaping school activities and initiatives, providing them with a voice in decision-making while developing leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
